چکیده

Disturbances of impulse formation and conduction may occur anywhere in the human heart. The most common cardiac arrhythmia is the ventricular premature beat. Premature beats may be atrial, atrioventricular (A-V) junctional or ventricular in origin, and may be found in apparently healthy individuals. However, premature beats may become clinically significant if they occur too frequently, originate from multiple foci or are found in individuals with proven heart disease. The most common cause of cardiac arrhythmias is the coronary artery disease. It has been shown that 90 to 95 percents of patients with acute myocardial infarction have some associated cardiac arrhythmia. Two most common cardiac arrhythmias during an acute myocardial infarction are premature ventricular contractions and ABSTRACT

Detection of Peak and Boundaries of P and T Waves in Ecg Signals

The ECG elimination is a vital tool for physiologist in detecting and classifying arrhythmia among human beings. One of the major challenges in ECG analysis is the delineation of ECG segments, that is P and T waves detection and delineation of an ECG waveform. Here we presents a new approach to address this problem, where delineation and detection can be done simultaneously. The proposed method...

Development of a Computer-Aided Application for Analyzing ECG Signals and Detection of Cardiac Arrhythmia Using Back Propagation Neural Network - Part I: Model Development

Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a graphic recording of the electrical activity produced by the heart. The accuracy of any electrocardiogram waveform extraction plays a vital role in helping a better diagnosis of any heart related illnesses. We present a computer-aided application model for detection of cardiac arrhythmia in ECG signal, which consists of signal pre-processing and detection of the ECG...

The use of the Hilbert transform in ECG signal analysis

This paper presents a new robust algorithm for QRS detection using the first differential of the ECG signal and its Hilbert transformed data to locate the R wave peaks in the ECG waveform. Using this method, the differentiation of R waves from large, peaked T and P waves is achieved with a high degree of accuracy. In addition, problems with baseline drift, motion artifacts and muscular noise ar...

Adaptive-Filtering-Based Algorithm for Impulsive Noise Cancellation from ECG Signal

Suppression of noise and artifacts is a necessary step in biomedical data processing. Adaptive filtering is known as useful method to overcome this problem. Among various contaminants, there are some situations such as electrical activities of muscles contribute to impulsive noise. This paper deals with modeling real-life muscle noise with α-stable probability distribution and adaptive filterin...

تشخیص آریتمی انقباضات زودرس بطنی در سیگنال الکتریکی قلب با استفاده ازترکیب طبقه‌بندها

Cardiovascular diseases are the most dangerous diseases and one of the biggest causes of fatality all over the world. One of the most common cardiac arrhythmias which has been considered by physicians is premature ventricular contraction (PVC) arrhythmia. Detecting this type of arrhythmia due to its abundance of all ages, is particularly important. ECG signal recording is a non-invasive, popula...
